abso-fucking-lutely. I played GTA III-SA as a kid and it freaking MADE my childhood; I would not give anything in the world for the freaking magnificent, blissfull memories I had with those three games. I still play all of them to this day but they are not a quarter as fun to play today as they were back then. Sure it gave me an enormous amount of psychological damage, but I didn't shoot up a fucking school or anything like that so it was well, well, well, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell worth it. JUST GTA though, a lot of M rated games would fuck up children more than they're worth, and its definitely not an experience for kids who have any kind of psychological problems already though, because THAT's how you end up with kids who shoot up schools.
maturity depends on the environment your growing up in and how you learn..with me i became independent at the age of 9 because my mother left me home alone with my siblings and i had to learn how to cook, clean and other things....i wouldn't be alive i f i hadn't tried....I'm sixteen and I've been told I'm pretty mature for a kid...
I don't think so. Kids, at least little kids, have a tendency to act out what they see...and say what they hear...so they should wait till they are at an age where they can understand things a little better before playing such a game.
Meh, I think kids should be at least teenagerish age before playing most M rated games or higher cuz kids these days are freaking violent and messed up enough without other factors like violent video games. I don't have anything against GTA it's just that I don't think young kids should play it, cuz it was designed for teenagers and adults.
i would try to get kids growing up in a serious way...of course with lots of activities and fun, but to be honest video games like gta etc. donīt add any fun to their life...but i think for most parents itīs the easiest way to put kids in front of video games and let them being alone with it for some hours, just to reduce stress from the parents... so in most households itīs the truth to find kids playing video games in young ages...welcome to the world;o/
Depends on the kid. If the kid can play games like that without becoming violent or scared I don't think it's a problem. I'm not 18, but I still play the game without getting influenced in a bad way. That's their parents business and they should judge if they think it's allright or not
I think they should play it except for the multiplayer. It's the same thing with drugs, if the children want it they'll find a way to get it. If any country would forbid 18+ games completely (!) they'd just enforce the black market.
